Steps to wash vegetables starts from washing our hands and trim out all the rotten parts. Mama Be recommends soaking them around 15 minutes and sort them out according to their types.
1. Produce with roots (Eg. Carrot)
Using soft brush to clean. This will help clear dirtiness from little porous across the surface.
2. Produce with hard surface (Eg. Cucumber and apple)
Running them through water first and peel them off as their surface may contain contaminants and chemicals.
3. Green-leafy vegetables
We should peel the outer layer off and soak them in cold water. After that, we dry them out and run them through water.
4. Fragile produce (Eg. berry and mushroom)
We can run them through water and use our finger to help rub off dirtiness.
